This course will provide you with an understanding of the burden of HPV,  current recommendations for HPV vaccination, and how vaccination has been beneficial in reducing transmission of HPV in Australia. Upon completion you should be able to identify eligible patients for the HPV vaccine, identify barriers to vaccination and respond to patient questions or concerns about the vaccine to improve patient safety.

  • Recommend HPV vaccination to patients as it reduces transmission of HPV in Australia
  • Reassure patients about the efficacy, safety, immunogenicity and dosing of HPV vaccine
  • Identify eligible patients and make recommendations regarding vaccine eligibility to reduce patient risk of contracting HPV infections
